YB The moving city both hides and reveals, enabling an understanding of its breadth and its transformation over distance. through the video recording, we recover the ability to see that which our eyes might miss : the simultaneous glimpse into moments which alone, our eyes would otherwise miss. Moreover, the linescape video is taken at speeds which diminish intentional judgment, thus revealing frame by frame the fleeting but ubiquitous secrets along a city's paths. taken together these suggest inadvertent relationships between fore-, mid-, and background : how near to the body do we allow these machines of movement, and further, how does the city interface with its machines? east_west : bullet train // |
